Recycling Services, Inc.
A non-profit recycling and alternative energy center

365 Elm Street Pottstown, PA 19465

RSI is a center that collects recyclable items. However, just because something is recyclable doesn't mean it is the best choice.  Recycling is the last "R" in the cycle - Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.
  1. The best choice is to reduce your impact - buy products with minimal or no packaging.
  2. Next, re-use (and choose re-usable products like rechargeable batteries and cloth shopping bags) whenever possible.  Re-using an item only once cuts its environmental impact in half, and choosing and re-using durable goods many times can have an enormous positive environmental impact.
  3. The Recycling Center should be the last stop - the final option when an item has worn out beyond use. Notice: Clean your plastic and poly coated paperboard deposits please - better yet, use durable products instead.

Accepted Materials

Please note that our list of Accepted Materials for Collection has changed.
As we move forward in our reorganization, we are temporarily excluding a limited number of materials from our collection list (listed below). Due to fluctuation and unreliable markets, certain materials have become a challenge to collect and resell, leaving us unable to recuperate costs.

Please ensure all recyclables are cleaned.
